Brexit: Making Sense Of Complex Challenges

RMIT City Campus, Lecture Theatre, Building 13, level 3
379-405 Russell St

The decision in the British referendum that the United Kingdom leave the European Union has shocked people not only in the United Kingdom and Europe, but throughout the world. It has added to instability in global markets, and has generated profound uncertainty about the future relations amongst Britain, Europe and Australia.

Should Australians be worried about the consequences? Will it affect our economic and social relations with the UK, and with Europe? What kinds of opportunities might emerge for Australia as the fall-out from the decision is implemented?

These questions and others will be explored at a seminar sponsored by the European Union Centre at RMIT, and the Contemporary European Studies Association of Australia (CESAA). The discussion will be introduced by CESAA’s President,  Associate Professor Bruno Mascitelli.
