This presentation from John Tibbitt highlights the main outcomes from the preparatory work on regional engagement in reseach intensive universities which he undertook prior to the first meeting of the U21 working group on engagement in Melbourne in 2010.  It outlines the aproach used to benchmarking engagement and draws attention to a number of issues of strategy and practice faced by universities in taking forward this aspect of their mission.
