ECER Main Conference

The ECER is the annual conference held by the European Educational Research Association (EERA). It welcomes more than 1,000 scholars each year, representing views and research traditions from all parts of Europe and also attracting researchers from other parts of the world.

Pre-Conference

The Postgraduate Network within EERA organizes the annual Pre-Conference, which is free of charge. Each year the Pre-Conference attracts about 150 participants from all parts of Europe. In addition to the presentations of Conference delegates, it will offer special events for New Researchers, such as a Best Paper Award or ECER conference Scholarships for PhD students from Eastern European countries and it will assist new researchers to get in touch with EERA networks. The ECER will also offer a series of “doctoral clinics”, focusing on writing, publishing and applying for funding, which will “treat” all sorts of problems linked to a Ph.D. More information will soon be online at the conference website.

Conference Venue and Accommodation

Please note that Vienna is a tourist hot spot. It is not easy to find accommodation, especially in September. The earlier you book a room, the better.  The conference will take place in the Main Building (= Hauptgebäude) of the University of Vienna, Dr.-Karl-Lueger- Ring 1 and the Juridicum, Schottenbastei 10-16.The local organising committee provides an online booking form for hotels and will be glad to help you with your reservation.
