You are invited to attend a Research Network 4 Conference of the ASEM LLL Hub on Tuesday 1 December 2015. The event will be in Melbourne, Australia, and will be hosted by the EU Centre at RMIT, the Faculty of Education at Monash University, the Schools of Education, and Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT, and the ASEF Foundation.

The theme of the event will be ‘Engaging Young People in Lifelong Learning: Asian and European Policies and Practices’. In a context of high levels of youth disengagement and unemployment, we invite all those involved in research, policy and active intervention to share their thinking on research and experience on national policies and practices that support young people’s multiple transitions.

Recognition of the importance of lifelong learning as a disposition in young people is crucial to support the transitions of young people, including those still in schools, into education and the labour market.

If you wish to attend please contact Professor Bruce Wilson at [email protected]

Please note that whilst the event extends over 3 days – it is only Tuesday 1 December that is open to non-members of ASEM LLL Hub.

However there will be a PASCAL Learning Cities Network event on Monday 30 November, details of which will be posted shortly.
