This workshop will explore our current understanding and approach towards promoting Global Citizenship within the student body. It will specifically address the question of how a global university network can develop activities that support partner organisations in enhancing student engagement with an understanding of Global Citizenship.

The workshop will use Global Citizenship as its central theme and will focus on the following areas:

  1. Developing definitions of Global Citizenship, in order to better understand the potential of the term;
  2. Agreeing modes and criteria in relation to Global Citizenship, for evaluating the impact of
    internationalisation and mobility in the 21st century university;
  3. Exploring the integration of Global Citizenship within the contemporary, internationalised curriculum;
  4. Assessing ways in which the U21 network can facilitate positive change in curriculum, student experience
    and employability within Global Citizenship - (speakers will facilitate discussion on these themes).

A programme outline and speaker biographies are available to download from the workshop event page.
