CMA - World Committee on Lifelong Learning

Since 2005, thanks to the common effort, our Organization became one of the main world civil society bodies specialized in Lifelong Learning. We are proud of it especially as this subject became one of the priorities of the UN and more particularly of UNESCO.

As you noticed, the development of strategies and education policies adapted to the people realities cannot be made anymore without the association of the civil society  at both an international level (represented by various specialized agencies of the United Nations) and a local level of governance. This year, we will particulary take care of our CMA/wcfl worldwide network, reinforcing it thanks to the contribution of the best specialists and prestigious institutions well-known for their innovative ideas and successful results in the domain of LLL.

Some of you have already contributed to the preparation of our previous three world Forums (Paris, Shanghai, Marrakesh) which materials and documentation are systematically viewed by a large number of professionals on our Website. The next Forum will take place on December 2014 at the UNESCO Headquaters in Paris. The CMA/wcfl, recognized as the UNESCO partner, shares its organization with the UNESCO HQs and the Institute of Lifelong Learning/Hamburg, as well as the ICEA (International Council for Adult Education).

We would like you to acquaint yourselves with this temporary program http://cma-lifelonglearning.org/

and we also invite you:

  • to share your observations regarding the contents and the organization
  • to provide (optional) with a title and a summary of a speech of 10 min in your areas of competences and related to the objectives of one of the 4 workshopes (10 lines max).

Furthermore, when dates will be fixed up, the Forum Committee CMA / UNESCO / ICAE will choose the best interventions and will ask the UNESCO HQs as well as the UNESCO National Commissions to cover your expenses related to your trip and accomodations during the forum. The other interventions appreciated by the Committee will then be published on our website.

Please send us your observations, your proposals of speeches (you are also free to invite other people to intervine) as well as your cv updated(the template attached to this email) before the end of February 2014, to the persons in charge of the international network of the delegates, on both emails: Marlena ([email protected]) and Michel ([email protected] ). New candidates are welcome.

We count on you to continue our creative work together, develop new concepts and contribute to set up concrete actions.

Thank you in advance for this promissing cooperation.

With our best wishes for this New Year 2014.

Sincerely yours,

Marlena BOUCHE and Michel PANET
